Hi there--I wasn't sure where to put this but...........Well it's like this. I know and you all know the rules for this forum are a G-rating---at the old site we had a rather elaborate discussion of just what a g-rating is, and what is outside those boundaries. One of the things we aren't supposed to do in here is curse--however some words are not in the autocensor because they are considered to be PG enough for the rest of the board.
I recently had it pointed out to me after editing a certain word out of serveral of your posts, that the same word was present in a quote in my sig----So I am here to apologise for setting you all A bad example---feel free to gently trout me (HEY! SARS!!! I said trout not SEABASS!!!). and I have corrected the sig.
Now lets get posting!!!

(I wonder if a good trouting would get JKR moving any faster---Mum contemplates trouting a pregnant woman--hmmm maybe not...........................0

I usually reserve this for Pinky but...

:trout: <--- BFM

;)

Of course.. you've never been a bad example to me. I don't swear at all, makes life easier. :D

Colli retracts her trout and uses it on JKR instead.

:)

Thanks BfM! You are well and truly forgiven!

I think trouting JKR would be pushing it a bit....

But she darn well needs it!

I have taken for granted that any words not blocked by the autocensor were OK to use, so I put them anyway and wait for it to block them if necessary.

Now, for a non-English speaker like me, that has never actually lived in an English-speaking country, the nuances between PG and G words are waaay to subtle.

As I certainly don't want to cause offence or twist rules just to use a word, can somebody enlighten me, in plain words, what is allowed and what is not?

Not in the forum, as it would be self-defeating, but a PM would be appreciated.

Thanks.
:)

And as you've never set a bad example for me, I won't trout you.

I didn't actually notice that in your sig until just now, and seeing as I'm guilty I won't trout you. But thanks for explaining it :)
