Poor Hagrid...

I just realized something...Hagrid has a really rough time in books 2-4.

Examples:

CoS- Hagrid's past mistakes are discovered and he gets sent to Azkaban.

PoA- Hagrid's Hippogryph is killed (sort of). Despite its fate, he DOES spend the whole time fretting about it.

GoF- It is made public that Hagrid is a half-giant and he receives much hate mail and is shunned by his potential lady love.

I mean, really, I know things turn out ok at the end, but this poor fellow went through Azkaban! Geez Louise.

any thoughts? Hagrid has always been one of my favorite characters and I want him to have a GREAT ending when this is all over!

Well there are rumours about Hagrid
going some place with Madame Maxine to rustle up some giants (who may or may not include Hagrid's mother) So I'm guessing it's gonna get darker before it gets lighter for the big guy

I reckon Hagrid's on for more turmoil. I think he will die :( I hope not, but I think he will because he's not essential to the plot but hes a loved character which will cause much angst for Harry which is definitely what JK likes.
