Some of you know that JKR's only public apperance is at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 26th of June, and only school kids are aloud to go... However! SM:TV live, a Saturday morning kids show are giving away 100 tickets for the event. You just have to pick up the form for it at a bookshop.

I did, and I'm just young enough (8-16!) problem is, you need to think of a great question to ask the woman herself.

You can ask her a question!! :D

Yeah, so, any ideas for questions I could ask her? It needs to be sent on monday, so let your ideas flow! :D

wow! I wanna do this! Which bookshop did you get it from? I met JK once when I got GoF signed - I didn't ask her anything but she said she liked my hairstyle. ;)

Hmmmm... Question...

Is there a wizarding university? Like to become a professor? Or do they just let whoever they want be a professor?

Most of the questions I'd really want her to answer she'd just say 'read the books and find out'

Well... I live in a society that matches the hatred that pureblood cherokees have for halfbloods/mudbloods but it doesn't stop there... we also hate yonegaha/Americans and our world isn't that much different from the wizarding world and the muggle world. Crossing over into the usa is like crossing over into the muggle world to my people. Everythings different! We don't celebrate the same holidays and purebloods don't even celebrate birthdays. We believe that one passes into the next age through the survival of a winter and in the spring we all celebrate by throwing a festival and feast.

I guess I would ask, "Do wizards show road rage when the fly their brooms?"

I know I cuss a bit when some dumb yonega cuts out in front of me without using his blinker.

My first thought was to ask about Blaise Zabini's gender, but some things are perhaps best left ambiguous :)

If I ever do write a fanfic, I plan to see how much Zabini I can work in without specifying a gender... hopefully more like a cool cyberpunk book I read once, than like those "It's Pat" skits from Saturday Night Live.

Anyway, you've probably already gone and asked your question... is there any place where all the Q&A is to be put online for all to read afterwards?

There's a webcast scheduled to begin at 12 EDT, June 26 at www.msn.co.uk/harrypotter

It will also be archived for seven days, so you can watch it after the fact. Not sure about transcripts, but you'll probably be able to find one somewhere. :)

I've got one, "Mrs. J.K. Rowling... Do you pay attention to the countless forums that are dedicated to your books?"

I didn't win *sighs and cries* I watched telly, and saw eight year olds with silly questions like "When Did you come up with Harry Potter?"...

Actually Sevvie, in 2000, she said she doesnt go on the Internet, as she is sure that it would scare her, but her friends go on and read things for her :)

You know, I read a hilarious fic doing just that. It was a crossover, but a very well written one, it's one of my favorites. It dealt with Malcolm Baddock and Blaise Zabini as supporting characters from Slitherin, and never once did the author use a prounoun to describe Blaise. It was always "Oh, that's Blaise's thing. That kid's always up to something." It was funny. There was one "Blaise has a date to the ball!" and when asked who it was, they all replied "Andy" (or Alex, I don't remember) which can be a boy or girl's name. Hehe.

OK, uh, sorry, just had to put in my two cents.

Sorry you didn't win, FleurD. That would have been really sweet to see JKR. But oh well, another time maybe. I might have asked the question "Are you rich enough to live in a mansion made completely out of gold and diamonds with a cool matching gold convertable, and if so, can I have it?" lol. No, I dunno what I'd ask, honestly.
