Help with News

I'd like to elaborate ...

I look at The Leaky Cauldron every day, so if it's on there, I probably know about it. I think The Leaky Cauldron is one of the best sites for HP news ... but it would be great if we weren't just posting the same news they already posted first. Back in the old, old, old version of the Muggle Informer, we were the best site for news. So it would be nice if we could again be a primary source for news.

I don't know if that could happen, but it's a nice goal. And I don't know how to achieve it other than to say: Keep your eyes peeled. Let me know if you find something in an out-of-the-way place or if you find news that hasn't made the rounds yet.

So what's the deal with the news thing anyway? Can I not post it myself because I'm too young? Or do you guys plan on killing me, so you want my public presence to a minimum? I'd understand if it was the latter....

I'd be much more willing to scour the net like I use to if I felt I had some kind of responsibility to live up to.

A lot of the items I've been finding lately have been more review or analysis type things.

("Newspaper X's review of OotP" "Newspaper Y's analysis of why Harry Potter is so popular" "Newspaper Z's review of OotP" "Newspaper Q's article about adults reading Harry Potter")

As they aren't really news, I haven't been posting them on the front page. (Besides, there are hundreds of reviews and analyses that all say very similar things.)

But I would like to know if people here are interested in seeing review/analysis articles on the front page. If people want to see them, I will post them. :)
