Yesterday on TV I was watching Beetlejuice and something struck me as neat. In it, the characters played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin are instructed to draw a door with a chalk on an empty brick wall. Then they are to knock on the door three times... suddenly the brick wall opens up into a door to another world... very similar to Harry Potter.

my sister and i were also watching Beetlejuice! i never really thought about the chalk-drawn door, but what really got my attention was that hallway where each door led to a room (or however you want to call that place!) that housed something...i think there was one room where the room contained dead souls or something. i thought this hallway reminded me of the Department of Mysteries!

and it was blue ;)

Hm, been too long since I've seen BJ to remember it. But the thread title made me think: What if Tim Burton were to direct Harry Potter?

What, you mean -

Harry Potter and Batman Scissorhands have a Beetlejuice
nightmare before Christmas?

Now is that a have-to-see movie or what?

Wow, no kidding! Burton directing Harry Potter... that would be kinda creepy...

But I would see THAT movie, Lanen! It would catch my interest.

It probably stars a lonely skeletal boy wizard with scissors for hands... who happens to be a winged-bat super hero by night...

And he has a best friend who happens to be a wacky dead guy named Beetlejuice.
