Did anyone else dislike the way the weasleys were represented? I mean all of them Ginny and Molly especially were walking around with dirt on their faces in the middle of the most prestigious shopping street in Wisdardom. I mean in the UK even the poorest muggles can aford to wash when they are dirty!!

I noticed that too.... *narrows eyes* But, I think... maybe it could have been soot from the floo network...
That's exactly my complaint when I stand next to someone with BO on the tube ;) It doesn't cost much to wash!

Really!
Who gets dirt (and/or soot) on themselves and then leaves it on all day? Especially when meeting THE Gilderoy Lockhart?

Yeah, I'd forgotten about it, but I did notice it last time I watched it. I too thought it must be from the fireplaces.
I was watching some of the deleted scenes on the Chamber of Secrets DVD (a friend had rented it). The scene with Fred and George doing their "seriously evil wizard coming through" talk about Harry was just really bad, IMO. No humor or anything, IMO. It was just really staged/stagnant, IMO.
It wasn't included in the final cut, of course, but still....

Hey, I don't remember that one being in there! Guess I'll just have to buy the dvd and watch it.
My favorite added scene is the one which takes place in the shop in Knockturn Alley between Draco and Malfoy. I thought it was superbly done. :)
But yeah, about the dirt--I figured it was just from the Floo Network, since Harry's face is dirty, too.
