Hey guys ~

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still checking in every couple days and doing my job :)

BUT I also want to apologize for not being around as much, and for not making this forum as good as it could be. Ever since mid-August, I've been here at Florida College (http://www.floridacollege.edu) gettin' an education, and I really haven't had a lot of free time for the good ol' MI. In addition to classes being REALLY REALLY hard, this is probably one of the most social schools I could have chosen to go to and it's so tempting to go and hang out with people instead of doing schoolwork. Which means schoolwork gets pushed back to after midnight.. which is when I would normally be on the computer.

:hug: I do miss you guys a lot, and if you have any questions, comments, complaints, whatever, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here, and that I still get PM notices. :)

s'alright, Colli. :) I remember how much harder my freshman-year classes were than any "honors-level" course I took in high school, and like you say, the parties and other social activities are tempting even when you know you have other things to do. Just don't let the social scene or computer stuff (I knew several people, including a grad student, who flunked out after spending too much time on MUDs [Multi-User Dungeons - early text-based 'net RPGs] and too little on their coursework) keep you from doing well in your studies.

Hi Colli!
I just started college too and I know exactly how you feel--I'm almost never in my dorm room due to volleyball practice or social activities I just can't miss (although I'll have everyone know I stayed in last night...on a SATURDAY!) But anyway, I do still post when I have time and check the Quidditch Pitch often.
College is great though, huh?
Speaking of Florida, my first volleyball match was on Daytona Beach.

Daytona Beach, that's awesome. :) Our girls just got back from Ft Wayne, Indiana, as winners of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s national championship. That's good, right? ;)

Wow, lots of Floridians. I will always consider myself an Ohioan although I currently reside in Tampa and have for the past 3 years. Isn't Temple Terrace near Tampa or something?

It is indeed close to Tampa. What part of Ttown do you live in? What's your favorite restaurant here, I'm dying for some good food. :)

That having been said, what part of Ohio are you from? :D That's the motherland.. where I'm returning for a visit in TWO AND A HALF DAYS!

I'm sitting at home in Ohio right now.. it's supposed to snow this weekend. :) I'm thrilled to not be in Tampa..

I'll unsticky this in a couple days and let it sink down into the void :)

it almost looked like it snowed here this morning... everything was covered in about three inches of frost.

it was very pretty. but the swans and ducks in the pond looked really confused

I'm back in Tampa now until the 11th (it's so stinking HOT today! It was 20 degrees when I left my house!).. then back in Ohio for a few weeks. :)
