Chapter 1


WHEEEEEE! WHEEEEEE! The train was about to leave “Bye Mum! Bye Dad! I’ll owl you as soon as I can!” Lily Evans was going to start her 5th year at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft


and Wizardry. She hurried inside, her crimson hair bouncing behind her. Her emerald eyes darted around the train and found her friends, Chelsea Rush, Katie Prinn, and Samantha (Sam)


Skidtam. Lily had met these girls in her first year at Hogwarts. All of them were muggle borns so they found comfort in one another. Lily had three siblings, Petunia, Allen and Kayla.


Petunia hated everything even close to magic. Petunia was older and meaner and liked to call Lily names like freak and hag. Allen was 11 and looked up to Lily. He loved everything that


had to do with magic. Lily’s presents at Christmas were always his favorite. Kayla was Lily’s twin. They were identical except for the fact that Lily was happier than Kayla. Kayla was


very much into everything Goth. She had exchanged her beautiful crimson curls for black straight hair. Her eyes were usually hidden because all you could concentrate on was her black


eyeliner and eye shadow. Kayla always said she wanted to be a witch. She said that she would turn her good-for-nothing sister Petunia into a toad. Lily’s parents were very proud for


having a witch in the family. Sam had dyed her hair blonde and it suited her perfectly but she usually had a beanie on over it. She had perfect skin and hazel/green eyes. Sam had a


younger brother named Mitchell and all she said about him was that he was a total spaz. Sam’s hero was Tim Burton. Chelsea, Katie and her were making a book called “Tragic Tales of


Morbid Children” they said they were going to send it into Tim Burton one day. Chelsea was a funny person and could make up a song about anything. She had brown hair with


reddish highlights. Her eyes were hazel and turned green when she cried. She had freckles dotted across her face. Once in their 1st year a substitute professor called her “Chelso” during


roll call and the nickname stuck ever since. She had two siblings, Gabrielle and Connor. Katie had naturally blonde hair and hazel/green eyes also. She had perfect skin. Katie had a


younger brother named Timothy. They both were black belts in Tae Kwon Do. The train gave one final whistle and took off.


“How was your summer? Mine was OK.” Sam said eager to hear their replies


“Nothing’ special” Chelsea said as she looked out the window


“It was OK. My brother broke my great-great grandmother’s tea set. My mom was furious.” Katie said


“Petunia was as awful as ever.” Lily sighed. Why couldn’t her sister just accept the fact that she was a witch and move on.


“Was she really bad because I’ll hex her. You know I will!” Sam said with he voice rising. Sam had met Petunia once over the summer and hated her with a passion.


“You know what we should do? We should play Truth or Dare!” Katie squealed with excitement


“OK I’ll go first,” Katie said “Lily, truth or dare?”


“Truth”


“OK, let me think… OH! Do you have a crush on James Potter?”


Lily’s cheeks got a little red and said in a unconvincing voice “No”


Chelsea made a snorting sound and said something that sounded like yeah right. Sam rolled her eyes.



“OK well thank you Lily for that truthful answer.” Katie said sarcastically


“OK who’s next? How about Chelso! Truth or Dare?”


“Hmmm…. Truth”


“Who do you have a crush on?”


“Well… umm… Sirius” Chelsea said with her cheeks going very red.


“I KNEW IT! Katie, you owe me 5 galleons!” Sam said in a loud voice


The compartment door slid open and the marauders came in looking awfully pleased.


“I couldn’t help but overhearing because I was eavesdropping, but I heard that Chelsea over here has a crush on Sirius.” Said James tauntingly. Chelsea buried her face in her hands,


her cheeks as red as a tomato. Sam piped in ready to embarrass Chelsea at any moment “Yep. That’s right. A huge one in fact. You should have seen the letters she wrote me. She sa-“


but that was as far as she got before Chelsea lunged at her covering her mouth. Katie and Lily were trying to keep in their laughter. The marauders left the compartment smirking. Chelsea


was looking so embarrassed. Katie and Lily couldn’t keep it in and laughed so hard that tears were leaking from their eyes. Chelsea’s embarrassment soon turned to anger. She hardly


talked the whole way to Hogwarts.





Finally when the train stopped they went on carriages to the castle. Everyone was silent because they were tired and hungry. When they reached the castle they got off their carriages

and walked through the front door. As they made their way to the Great Hall they overheard the marauders talking Lily only caught bits of what Remus was saying but he said something

like “James, why don’t you just ask her out.” Lily hoped for a moment that they were talking about her. Probably not. Lily, Katie, Sam and Chelsea all entered the Great Hall and took their

places at the Gryffindor table. Heads turned because they all were very beautiful. Dumbledore stood up and said “Hello students. I have a very important announcement but, oh,

nevermind. I can see that you all are very hungry so it can wait. Tuck in!” Suddenly food appeared on the platters in front of them. “I wonder what he has to say that is so important?”
Lily thought.

Chapter 2
The marauders made sure that they were fashionably late and this year was no exception. James ran his fingers through his hair, Sirius smirked flirtatiously at everyone, Remus grinning


widely and Peter trying to keep up with them. The marauders made their way to where the girls were sitting and sat down. James was sitting across from Lily, Sirius across from Chelsea,


Peter across from Katie (who didn’t look pleased), and Remus across from Sam. James looked up at Lily the same time she looked up at him; they both looked down suddenly and


blushed. The marauders were shoveling food into their mouths like it someone was going to take it from them. The girls didn’t care because they saw them all as cute no matter what


(except Peter). After everyone had had their fill and was quiet the food disappeared from the plates, platters, and goblets and Dumbledore stood up. “As many of you know we have a


ball every year. We will be hosting a ball that is inviting every wizarding school that wishes to come. The catch is that you must be a 4th year or older and you must have an A in every


class. This ball is not really a ball it is more like a party. This party will last for 1 week. Your date or partner for this party will be the person you do everything with that week. A person


with all A’s in their classes may invite a person who has only A’s and B’s. This is an incentive for all of you to do better in school. Oh and believe me this party will be FUN! Prefects


please lead your houses to your common rooms. Have a lovely night.” And with that everyone started to leave the Great Hall. One of Gryffindor’s prefect’s, Molly Weasley started to


lead all the Gryffindors to their common rooms. The marauders however did not go the way that Molly Weasley was leading them but they went in the opposite direction.


“You already have a guaranteed spot on the guest list, Lily” Chelsea said enviously


“Not really…” Lily said modestly


“Oh please, everyone know that you’re the top of every class your in.” Sam said


“Well… so… I’m not that smart.” Lily said wishing her friends would stop saying how smart she was.


Chelsea made a snorting noise when they reached the portrait of the Fat Lady.


“OK the password is Nacho Cheese,” Molly Weasley said, “OK everyone got it? Good” Everyone clambered in through the portrait hole. There were oohs and ahhhs from all the first

years. “Girls Dormitory is up to your left, Boys on the right. You’ll se that all your things are next to your bed.” And with that Molly Weasley left to go to her Prefect bedroom. There

was still no sign of the marauders. Lily and her friends al went up to their dormitory and snuggled into the covers of their bed. Everyone was feeling content and happy. Lily looked up


and noticed a heating vent that must’ve led from the furnace in the basement. All the girls were asleep by 10:00 except for Lily. She stayed up and thought about what she heard Remus


saying while she was walking into the Great Hall. Did James like me? Was Remus talking about James asking me out? Would I just be another flavor of the week? What the heck was

that irritating scratching noise? Lily turned over to go to sleep but just as she was about to fall asleep the scratching noise got louder and louder. It scared Lily a little. Then she heard

scuffing of shoes then it stopped. Lily managed to crack out “Who’s there?” The scuffing of shoes started up again and stopped near her bed. Her heart was pounding. She could hear

the breath of whoever, whatever this was. “It’s me, James.” Lily thought she would strangle him. “What,” she said whisper yelling, “Are you doing here? You scared the bejeezus out of

me.” Silence. More Silence. “I demand an answer James Potter!” she said now sitting upright in her bed. “I…well…It’s… You…” he stuttered “Oh for heavens sake spit it out!” she said

growing even madder now. “I love you Lily Evans!” and with that James was gone. Lily stayed up all night. Couldn’t he had told me at a more convenient time? He’s so conceited the

way he runs his fingers through his hair to make it look like he just got off a broomstick. Stupid me!

Chapter 3

Lily was very cranky that morning because she hadn’t gotten any sleep. She was very upset with James.
Thinking he could just go into the Girl’s Dormitories. Her friends were still sleeping. Lily took a long
shower and sat back down on her bed. She opened a book and read, “I hate my life. NO one understands me. I feel useless.” Lily put down the book. She realized she didn’t feel like reading. Lily sighed and stared at the ceiling. The sun was just about to come up. Sam shook her “Wake up sleepy head Fred,” Lily had apparently fallen asleep. “You’ve missed breakfast and potions!” Lily looked over at the clock. It read 11:27 am. Lily’s next class was Charms so she got her books and ran toward the classroom. “We only have 3 minutes to get there!” Lily said with a note of panic in her voice. The Charms classroom was 3 floors above them and it was hard to walk up those long stairs. Lily and Sam burst in and sat down noisily. “So glad you could join us Miss Evans and Miss Stidtam. I won’t take points off because I know Miss Evans can catch up just fine.” Their Charms teacher, Professor Green, was a really nice man. He was tall and had a deep voice. He wasn’t the kind of person you thought would be a Charms teacher. He favored Gryffindor but he never said that out loud. Lily and Sam took their seats behind Arthur Weasley and Molly Zeldwick (A/N Thanks to Tanya J Potter for telling me that Molly Weasley wasn’t married to Arthur yet so she had her maiden name!). “Today you will be learning how to do the Bubble Charm. This charm is pretty much useless but it allows you to spray bubbles out of your wand. The incantation is Igbay Ubblesbay!” By the end of class, the room was filled with bubbles. Lily and Sam made their way down to the Great Hall for lunch, where they would meet up with their other friends, Chelsea and Katie. Lily’s eyes darted around for a moment, then spotted Chelsea and Katie talking. Lily and Sam took their places across from Chelsea and Katie.
“I was worried about you Lily! When you skipped Potions I thought that maybe you were sick!” Katie said really fast “
I’m OK, really” Lily said. They all helped themselves to Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese sandwiches.
“I remember my mom used to make this on rainy days when I was little.” Chelsea said. The marauders entered being fashionably late and sat on the other end of the table. Lily noticed that James kept stealing glances at her.
“What’s your next class Lily?” Sam asked
“Ummmm… let me see,” she said taking out her schedule “Oh, I have Defense Against The Dark Arts.”
“I have History of Magic. That’s going to just bundles of fun!” Chelsea said sarcastically
“I have Transfiguration with McGonagall” Katie said
“I hate History of Magic! Professor Binns is such a drag. He just drones on and on and on and on. I fell asleep during his class yesterday!” Chelsea said with great dislike
“Transfiguration is no fun! We had to turn rats into teacups and my teacup was furry and had a tail for a handle!” Katie shuddered, she hated rats.
“If you all want to go to that party that Dumbledore is hosting then you better start to pay attention and try!”
“Yes, mother” Chelsea muttered
“Aye, Sir!” Katie saluted
Sam said something like I guess we know who’s going to that party.
As the girls exited the Great Hall someone grabbed Lily by the wrist. Her friends didn’t notice that someone in the shadows had just taken her.
“What in the world is going on!” Lily cried
“Will you go out with me?” a voice vaguely familiar said
“James? James Potter? No I will NOT go out with you!”
“Why not?” James said with hurt in his voice
“Why not? Well let me see, your rude your mean you hex random people for the fun of it, you probably don’t really like me, I’m probably just another flavor of the week. Is that good enough for you?” and with that she stormed off to Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Chapter 4

“… And she turned you down just like that?” Remus said half amused half sorry for his friend.

“Maybe you should just stop trying. She obviously doesn’t like you.” Peter said. Remus and Sirius shot death glares at him. James was so depressed. He had asked her out at least once

every week and at least once every week she turned him down. Maybe Peter was right. Maybe he should give up. The marauders walked down to Defense Against The Dark Arts (they

were already 10 minutes late) they noticed a girl in about her 3rd year sobbing. Remus asked, “Are you all right?” She looked up and blushed, and then she ran away. “Weird. I hope we

weren’t like that in 3rd year.” Sirius said. They reached Defense against the Dark Arts classroom and sat down next to each other. James looked up and noticed something. Red hair.

Sirius noticed James looking, nudged him and winked. “Oh hello boys. I’m glad you could grace us with your presence,” Miss Finney, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher said

rolling her eyes. She was a tall brunette who was about 25. “ If you were paying attention last week,” this comment was directed at the marauders “the you remember me saying that you

will be doing a 10 foot report on everything that has to do with Defense Against the Dark Arts. This will be a very simple report to all who wish to do well in this class. Remember what I

told you all at the beginning of the term. I will give everyone and A who wants one. If you want it you’ll try! I have assigned partners for you all,” this was met with load groans, “ OK

here’s the list. I will read it aloud OK: Spinnet & Longbottom, Patil & Brown, Potter & Evans, but Lily didn’t hear the rest. Did Miss Finney just say Potter & Evans? It had to be a

mistake. She would go up to Miss Finney and find out her real partner was.

“WHAT!” Lily said in disbelief

“I’m sorry Miss Evans but that’s your partner.”

“B-B-ut he’s so annoying!”

“ I’m sorry but if I changed your partner everyone would want to have theirs switched. All except Patil & Brown…”

Lily stormed out. Now she was forced to be with James. He probably wouldn’t do any work at all. Lily turned around the corner and gave out a little yelp.

“You scared me! Geez!” Lily said frustrated

“Sorry, but I wanted to know when we should meet up in the library.”

“OK how about Wednesday night, 7:00 pm?”

“Sorry, but I have Quidditch practice.”

“Well, how about Friday at 6:00 pm”

“Sounds good!” and with that James turned around the corner and left

No this doesn’t sound good. Not at all.




“Score!” Sirius said loudly scaring a few first years

The marauders were all sitting by the fire in the Gryffindor common room.

“I don’t know if this is a good match-up.” Remus said wisely

“And why in the world not?” Sirius said as if this was so absurd

“Think about this. Lily hates James. No offense James. James loves Lily. Lily will probably be hostile to James and James will just keep asking her out.”

“Oh.” Sirius said

“So who’s your new girlfriend Sirius?” Remus asked with a smirk on his face.

“What do you mean,” Sirius said feigning innocence “I don’t have a girlfriend!”

“Oh give me a break. Who is it?”

“Well you know that girl Lily hangs out with?”

“Which one?”

“Chelsea”

“I like her so I think I’ll ask her out.”

Almost as if on queue the portrait hole swung open and Lily, Sam, Katie and Chelsea walked in. Heading straight for the Girl’s Dormitories.

“Hey Chelsea! Come here!” Sirius said

Lily, Sam and Katie kept walking toward the Girl’s Dormitories. When they entered Lily collapsed on her bed and sighed. She was forced to be with that detestable James Potter!

“I don’t see a problem with being his partner,” Katie said “I’d trade you any day. I got Wood. He keeps hitting on me.”

The girls made their way to dinner (all except for Chelsea who was still with Sirius). They took their spots and started to eat.

Chelsea arrived about 10 minutes later smiling like she was

just appointed Queen of the World.

“You know what?”

They all knew what but they pretended they didn’t know

“What?” They all said with mock curiosity

“Sirius asked me out!” she said happily


“Great!”

“Cool”

“Congrats!”

Friday rolled around and Lily was dreading what she had to do at 6:00.

She kept watching the clock anxiously. 2:30 turned into 3:30 then 4:30 became 5:30 became 5:45.

Lily decided she better head down to the library. She waited and waited and waited. She decided to do her own notes and get started. At about 8:00 Lily left and was furious when she

saw who entered the library….

Chapter 5
James had just strolled into the library looking around for Lily.

“Where the hell have you been? I have been waiting 2 hours!” Lily said furiously

“I’m sorry I had a surprise Quidditch practice. I didn’t have time to owl you. You know Wood always does that.” James said trying to explain

“ Here are my notes why don’t you look them over. I’m finished with you.” Lily stormed out thinking of ways to kill James.

He had a valid point. She knew that Wood always did surprise Quidditch practices but that didn’t matter. She wanted a good reason to hate him.

Lily made her way to the Girl’s Dormitories and collapsed down on her bed. She looked for the nearest pillow and screamed into it. Lily had a nasty temper. She threw the pillow

across the room and stomped on the floor so it made a noise that sounded like BOOM-BOOM-BOOM. She was yelling I HATE JAMES POTTER! She was getting out all the rage

she had bottled up for 5 years. What she didn’t know was that James had followed her. Sirius was in the common room and could hear the whole thing.

“What did you do to her?” Sirius asked smirking

“You know those surprise Quidditch practices Wood does? Well I was supposed to be helping Lily in the library at 6:00 and that’s when the practice was. I didn’t have time to owl her

and she was left in the library for two hours waiting for me.”

“Nice job James. Real way to get to a girl’s heart.” Sirius said

“ Where’s Peter?” James asked

“In Potions his potion blew up in his face. You know how we were doing the Truth Potion, Veritaserum, and it blew up in his face. You know one of those girls that Chelsea hangs out

with? Well, Peter has a HUGE crush on Katie and since she’s in his Potions class she heard the whole thing. You should’ve seen her. She looked like she was going to barf. Peter was

singing about his “undying love for her” and she was covering her ears and making a gagging noise. Well, Peter’s in the hospital wing because one it left burns on his arms and two he

almost died of embarrassment.”

James was clutching his stomach and laughing hard.

Meanwhile, Lily was still in the Girl’s Dormitories. There weren’t any other girls in there because they knew of Lily’s nasty temper and thought it best to leave her alone. Lily could hear

James laughing and wished he would never be happy again. Her anger had turned in depression. She lay on her bed sobbing for no apparent reason. Lily fell asleep crying. When she

woke up it was pitch black and he rest of the girls were asleep. Lily’s stomach rumbled so loudly she wondered if it would wake up someone. Lily decided she would sneak off to the

kitchens and get something to eat. The House Elves were so kind. They would get you anything you wanted. Lily snuck off and when she was walking down the stairs she fell into the

trick step that disappeared when you stepped on it. She was stuck and she would be stuck like that until morning. Imagine being found by a teacher in such a compromising state.

She was stuck for about an hour when an invisible figure stepped on her hand.

“Ouch!” she said

“Sorry! Do you need some help?” a vaguely familiar voice said

“Yes Please!” Lily said in relief that someone was there

The mysterious someone gave her their hand and helped her out. She gave the person a big hug. It might have been somewhat ridiculous but she was so grateful.

“Who is this? How did you get invisible?” Lily asked now curious to see who this was

“I don’t know if I should tell you. You might hurt me.” The person said tauntingly

“Please tell me!” Lily was now determined to know now

“Only if you kiss me.” Said the mystery person

Lily thought this over. This person might be nice because after all they helped her get out of the trick step so if she kissed him it wouldn’t be like kissing Snape (Ewww).

“OK, fine” Lily said

The person made their head visible but Lily couldn’t see it because it was pitch black. Lily leaned into kiss the person and the person did the same. The kiss was the most wonderful kiss

she had ever had. When she pulled away the person took out their wand and said “Lumos”. What Lily saw horrified her. It was James Potter. He was grinning like Lily had said she

would marry him.

“Oh dear God.” Lily was furious and she backed away. Then she had a better idea she got closer to him; he thought he was getting another kiss so he got closer and Lily kneed him in

the groin.

“You disgusting pig, I will never go out with you as long as I live.” She stormed off to her dormitory forgetting her hunger. She lay in bed thinking.

I actually enjoyed it. YUCK! I hate James Potter. The scheming jerk!

Once James could walk again he walked back to his dormitory.

“Sirius! Sirius! Wake up! Now!” James had to tell him all about it. Sirius didn’t move so he pulled the blankets off of him.

“Geawa frumme! Lemme alone!” Sirius said half asleep

“You won’t believe what happened! Lily kissed me!”

That woke Sirius up and he sat straight up in his bed.

“WHAT!”

“Lily kissed me. Then kicked me in the groin.” James said grinning from ear to ear

Sirius laughed and said, “How’d you get her to kiss you?”

James told Sirius everything. Across the common room Lily was so furious that she screamed into her pillow for 5 minutes. Daisy Finklestein woke up and thought she was going crazy

because she could hear screaming and didn’t see anyone screaming.

James Potter was going to get it! Lily woke up Chelsea first. She knew she wouldn’t miss this chance for the world. Then she woke up Sam and Katie. Katie was a little wary at first but

gave in. Sam knew the password to get into the boys dormitories because she was eavesdropping on someone when they said it.

“Girls are cute” Sam said

“That’s the password?” Katie said giggling

The portrait swung open and they went in. They all did their own thing. Sam put up images of disturbing things on the walls. Katie put up pink wallpaper. Chelsea put a bunnies and

kitties all around the room. Lily made lily flowers everywhere. Lily remembered the spell they learned in Charms and made bubbles everywhere. The girls stood back and admired their

work. Sam did one last thing, she wrote all their names in pink cursive above their beds. The girls ran back to their dormitory giggling and marveling at what geniuses they were. They

stayed up all night and finally at about 8:00 they heard someone yell “What in the name of all things holy!” The girls burst out laughing and then they heard other shouts like

“What did we do to deserve this?” “Look at my name! It’s a disgrace!” The girls got dressed trying to act normal but they had the occasional outburst of giggles. They made their way

down to the common room where the marauders were. They were all looking very unhappy.

“You. Come here.” James said

“What?” The girls feigned innocence

“We know you did it.” James said

“Did what?” Katie said

“Made our dormitory a pink nightmare that’s what!” James said

“We figured it out because of the lily flowers on he floor. Who other than Lily would put lily flowers on out floor.” Remus said. He was back from his “Grandmother’s house”

“Why’d you do it?” Peter said

“Oh so James hasn’t told you about our run in last night?” Lily said

Peter looked at James and then at Lily. He furrowed his brow and looked back at James questioningly. James mouthed “l tell you later.” Remus did the same thing.

“I guess we’re even then so goodbye.” Lily said and turned her back and headed down to breakfast.

Chelsea turned around and said “Oh by the way that stuff doesn’t come out for 2 weeks!”

CHAPTER 6

“That was classic!” Chelsea said laughing

“Did you see the look on their faces. The looked like they had been hit in the face with a bludger.” Katie said laughing

“Sam, why aren’t you laughing” Lily said with a quizzical look on her face

Sam had far away look on her face.

“Look Snape’s dressed as a woman!” Chelsea yelled

“What! Where!” Sam said snapping back to reality.

“ You were lost in space there Sam.” Katie said

“Oh. Sorry.” Sam said embarrassed

“Who is it?” Lily said knowingly

“Who’s what?” Sam said as her cheeks got pink

“Oh give me a break. We all know you like someone.” Katie said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“N-no, no I don’t!” Sam said unconvincingly

“Yeah, whatever” Chelsea said rolling her eyes.

The girls entered the Great Hall and ate their breakfast trying to get Sam to tell them who she liked. The

marauders walked in and sat by the girls. Remus sat across from Sam and she blushed. Chelsea whispered

something to Lily and they looked at Sam and Remus and smirked evilly. James sat far from

Lily because he feared that she would hex him at any moment. Sirius draped his arm around Chelsea and

kissed her cheek. She blushed and smiled. Sam was mostly silent as she busied herself with her food and

frequently glancing at Remus. Katie seemed to realize that Sam had a crush on Remus and giggled when

she caught Sam staring at him. Sam scowled at her as if telepathically say “SHUT UP!” Katie often caught

Peter staring at her. She scowled at him every time. James had noticed this also and silently laughed. Peter

elbowed his in the ribs and James shut up. They all headed off to class after breakfast. Katie seemed very

unhappy that Peter was in the same class as she was but having Sirius there was some consolation. Sam

and Remus had their next class together and Chelsea, Katie and Lily smirked. After a long day of classes

Lily, Chelsea and Katie sat around their dormitory.

“Did you notice Sam and Remus today. It was so funny.” Katie said

“Oh my gosh she is really crushing on him.” Lily said
Just then they heard thundering up the satirs and Sam crashed throught the portrait hole leading to the girl’s dormitory.

“Oh my god! You won’t believe who just asked me out!” Sam said her face sweaty and red from running 6 flights of stairs.

“Who?” the girls asked but they had a pretty good idea they knew who.

“Remus Lupin! I have been crushing on him since the beginning of term!” She said flopping on her bed

“Cool Beans! That is uber-awesome!” Chelsea said

“Great!” Sam said

The girls made their way down to the common room where they did their homework.

“Divination is such B.S and I don’t mean bible study.” Sam said frustrated

“I have to do a huge report on Grindwald The Great Goblin,” Chelsea said with a look that seemed like she

had thrown up and was keeping it in her mouth “I mean who’s going to tell their children about *trumpet

music* Grindwald The Great Goblin! What is this “Stress out Students” week?”

“I am so bad at Transfiguration! Look at my teacup!” She held it up and dropped it on accident and it

scuttled away. Katie shuddered. She hoped it didn’t get into the kitchens. The portrait hole opened up

revealing the marauders. They took their seats on the other side of the room and seemed to be deep in

discussion.

“Will you help me with my report, Sam?” Chelsea asked

“Hold on.” She said deep in thought

Chelsea couldn’t hold and decided she go ask her boyfriend for help (he had asked her last night).

As she approached she could hear “We get in by the heating vent.”

Chelsea forgot about her homework and ran over to her friends to tell them what she had heard.

“You don’t think they would?” Lily said

“Of course they would. We’re talking about the marauders here!” Katie said

“If they prank us then this will be like World War III” Sam said

“ We have got to be ready, we’ll have time slots when we have to watch the dormitory.” Chelsea said acting like a sergeant

“OK. Katie you stay up until 12. Then wake up Sam and Sam you’ll stay up until 3 the you’ll wake up me and I’ll stay up until 6 and Chelsea you stay up here until 9. Got it? Good night then.” Lily slipped into her bed positive her plan would work.

The whole plan went smoothly. During Sam’s shift she heard a voice that sounded like James saying “Ouch!” Then the voices were clearer. She stood up. Then she heard them for

sure get in their dormitory. Then she muttered “Lumos,” She saw the faces of 4 terrified marauders. “Lily, Chelsea and Katie wake up. You won’t believe who decided to pay us a visit.”

CHAPTER 7

Lily, Chelsea and Katie woke up immediately. As soon as they spotted who else was in their room. They glared at them. The Girls hopped out of bed (with only pajamas on) and took

their wands off the night stand.

“Oundbay Egsla” Sam muttered

The marauders legs were bound together so that only their arms and head could move.

“Explain yourselves.” Lily said coldly

“W-well, I, we, um” Peter stumbled

“We were coming in here so that we could make your room just as awful.” Sirius said with no remorse

Chelsea and Sam were trying not to be mad with their boyfriend’s but they couldn’t help it.

James and Peter were too busy checking them all out to say much of anything.

“Oh quit it James and Peter that’s disgusting.” Katie said

“I am so close to telling McGonagall.” Lily said.

A look of terror spread over the marauders faces.

“Oh PLEASE don’t tell McGonagall! She’ll hang us for this!” James said

“We’ll do ANYTHING!” Sirius said

A light bulb went off in Chelsea’s head (figuratively speaking)

“Anything?” Chelsea said

“Yes! Anything!” Peter piped up

“OK how about this. You are our slaves for 2 weeks. You will do exactly what we say. You will do it or we’re telling McGonagall.” Chelsea said

The marauders faces fell.

“Are you serious?” Sirius said

“Yes Sirius, I’m serious.” Chelsea said

“No you’re not Sirius, I’m Sirius.” Sirius said smiling

The girls rolled their eyes.

“So what is it? Yes or No?”

“Yes!” They agreed

The girls got their grades and they got all A’s as usual. Sam filled everyone in on how Remus was doing.

“He’s got all A’s also. He asked me if I wanted to go to the party with him. I said yes of course.”

Katie and Lily looked at each other. Usually the girls did everything together and this was a shock to them. They had just figured they would all go together. Chelsea was probably

going with Sirius too.

“Sirius has got B’s in all his classes except Charms so I’ll be tutoring him to get his grade up. Then he can go with me because I have all A’s.” Chelsea beamed at this idea.

Two down and two to go. Lily thought

Sam rang her bell (she got it in Hogsmeade) and Remus came running.

“Yes darling” He said in a exasperated voice

“I was wondering if you could get me some hot chocolate from the kitchens?”

“Yes darling” Remus replied

The rest of the girls rang their bells and ordered their servants to get them the same.

When their “servants” came back they handed them their drinks. Sam kissed Remus and the exasperation on his face disappeared.

“I suppose you deserve one too.” Chelsea said and stood up to kiss Sirius

Sirius looked like a little boy on Christmas.

Peter and James looked at Katie and Lily hopefully.

“You’re not getting any.” Katie told Peter sharply

“Same goes for you too James” Lily told him

Their faces fell and James pouted like a four year old. Lily couldn’t help but laugh. She mentally kicked herself. Don’t laugh at his jokes! She told herself.

“Wittle Jamesie want a kiss?” Sirius said and leaned over

“Yuck! No way! Not from you!” James said

Sirius, Remus, and Peter laughed. Chelsea wrinkled her nose, Sam raised her eyebrows, Katie rolled her eyes and Lily thought “Boys!”

Katie excused herself and went to the library. Lily realized that it was Friday and she and James had to work on their report. Lily tried to catch up to Katie but she was too far off. Katie

Went to the other side of the library but Lily could still see her. Lily didn’t want her with them. She wanted to be with James alone. Her and James worked on their report and were finally

Finished. Lily looked up and saw Katie flirting it up with a hot Hufflepuff. He obviously liked it and was flirting back. Seeing this made Lily a little sad. She never had had a real boyfriend.

As they walked past she heard the Hufflepuff boy say “So you’ll go with me?” This made Lily’s stomach lurch. Three down one to go. She couldn’t be alone at the party! Her body

Turned to James and asked

“Will you go to the party with me?”

James looked dumbstruck. He thought she hated him.

“Ummm, OK..” he said still in shock.

Lily hadn’t realized what she had just done. She was in awe of herself. Did she do what she thought she just did? Oh gosh! What was she getting herself into!

CHAPTER 8

Lily ran from the library. Katie saw her and ran after her.

“What’s going on?” Katie said

“I asked James to be my date to the party.” Lily said out of breath

“What! I thought you hated him!” Katie said in shock

“Well I do it was sort of an accident.”

“How can you do that by accident?” Katie said

“I don’t know. Well who was that Hufflepuff that you were flirting with?” Lily said changing the subject

“Oh, him,” Katie said blushing “that’s Amos Diggory. He’s a 6th year. He’s on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. He’s a beater and-“

“OK, OK I don’t need a life story.” Lily said

Lily and Katie walked back to their dormitory. Chelsea and Sam were with their boyfriends. Lily was really bored. She waited until dinner then headed down to the Great Hall.

They met Chelsea and Sam in the common room. They both looked like Christmas had come early.

“We heard.” Sam said grinning mischievously

“Heard what” Lily said She knew what but she wanted to pretend it never happened.

“You’re going to the party with James!” Chelsea said loudly making a few heads turn

“Shut up! The whole world doesn’t need to know!” Lily said her cheeks becoming red

“Let’s just go to dinner.” Katie said

The girls headed down to dinner. When they entered the Great Hall a lot of people started whispering.

“Hey! People! Just because Lily can’t hear you doesn’t mean she doesn’t know your talking about her!” Chelsea yelled

People stopped whispering and got back to their dinner. Lily’s cheeks were as red as her hair.

“What were you thinking? Are you crazy!” Lily hissed

“Don’t be ashamed that you’re madly in love with James.” Chelsea said grinning

“Oh shut up!” Lily said

Dumbledore stood up and tapped his fork against his goblet.

“Ahem, the party that I mentioned at the beginning of the term will be moved to Beauxbatons. That means our top students will be able to go to France. All students attending will earn

10 points for their house. You will need to pack after dinner because we are leaving in two weeks. We will be staying there for 9 days. Enjoy your dinner!”

The Great Hall was in an uproar. Lily was overjoyed. She had always wanted to go to France and now she go for free because of good grades.

“Yes! This is so cool!” Sam said

“Right on!” Chelsea said

“In only two weeks!” Katie said

“ I hope we can go shopping!” Lily said

Many people were thinking along the same lines as Lily, Katie, Chelsea and Sam. There were groans of people too young and people who didn’t get good enough grades.

After dinner the girls rushed up to their dormitory and packed. They picked out their best outfits.

“Does this make me look fat?” Sam said

“No!” Lily said

“What do you think of this shirt? Do you like the red or the black?” Chelsea said holding up two shirts

“Black”

“Black”

“Red”

“Black it is!”

“Pink skirt or the black and red skirt?”

“Black and red!”

“Black and red!”

“Black and red!”

“Black and red it is!”

This went on until 11:00 and they all got tired.

Those were the two longest weeks the girls had ever had. Finally, December 1st rolled around and everyone was more than ready. The girls and their dates chose a compartment in the

train next to the kitchen. They thought it might be useful to get something if they got hungry. The marauders (except Peter who didn’t go) decided to raise some hell at Beauxbatons.

The marauders raided the kitchen 3 times during the train ride. They didn’t only have to take a train they also had to take a boat. Then they boarded another train and went through

beautiful countryside. They all fell asleep and when they awoke it was very dark outside and they arrived at a castle much like Hogwarts. As they got off the train, a woman with a thick

French accent yelled

“Welcome ‘Ogwarts students, to Beauxbatons!”

Hi Chelsea! this is Rach I read your story and I think you have an excellent plot line/ ideas the characters are well written. Though its difficult to understand at some points in the story because its not divided to paragraphs. Otherwise keep writing! I can't wait to read the next chapter!
