I haven't played it, but I've seen it in the shops too: looks like a bit of fun eh Amb? :)

I think it would be pretty difficult to replicate the whole game, so there's bound to be a few problems with the gameplay, but I think the way it is set up so that you can take on the role of a house team or an international team (including Australia! :D ) sounds like it would be pretty neat!

Oh, hey, I just found a site where you can download a playable demo of the game. I'll put the link up, but it's not worth even trying unless you have a SUPER fast internet connection and quite a bit of harddrive space: it's just one training level, and yet it's 253 MB!  That'd seriously take me a year to download I think, lol!

Still, here it is if anyone is brave/bored enough to want to try downloading it:

If anyone does download it, I'd love to hear, like Amb, whether it is any good! :)

My nine year old brother got it for Christmas...

I got excited about it especially when I read there were little Cedric and Cho seekers ("But he's dead!" "She snogged Harry under the mistletoe!") How I laughed and cried...

It was so easy to play, even though I lost miserably to Hufflepuff.

I was rather miffed you couldn't change teams you played for. It was always Gryffindor... Bleaugh :p

Then it got worse... So I stopped playing... When you go on to the International level, you'd think you'd have a lot of teams to choose. NO.

Who won the Quidditch World Cup? Ireland I hear you cry...

Where was I born? Ireland I hear you cry...

IRELAND ARENT IN THE GAME.

So I stopped playing... Very miffed... I wanted to see happy leprechauns... First its the football! Then it's Quidditch...

Why oh WHY werent Ireland included in the game!? They won the bloody cup! Oh, they've got Bulgaria (with a little Hermione chasing, Viktor Krum) and USA (didn't even read about them) but no Ireland... And I don't think Australia is even in there...

You had to be Gryffindor the whole time, and there was no Ireland?? Well, that sucks!!! I agree, surely they'd have to put Ireland in seeing as how they won the thing!

On that webpage I linked to, it has a blurb about the game that says you can take the role of any one of the house teams, so that's weird for a start, if you're right FleurD! And Ireland ISN'T listed on the international team list although Australia is, so there certainly should be an Australian team on there somewhere!

Did you play the Playstation version or the PC version, FleurD? Either way, if it's like you say it is, maybe it isn't worth buying after all.. maybe I just need to hire the Playstation one and bother a friend who has a Playstation if I want to really see for myself. Ah well!

We've got it on the GameCube (though we could have playstation too, but the playstation is my dad's and the GameCube is my brothers...) I think you should rent it out, maybe Australian versions favour Ravenclaw teams :p

The PC version can't compare to the XB, PS2, or GC versions of the game. I recommend the GC version because of the easy to master controls. The game itself is okay. The announcer can say the same thing literally 10 times in one match and it can get very annoying. Another problem with the announcer is the language/accent. It doesn't change at all when you play in different countries.

7/10 - Rent it. Pwn it. Return it.

The PC box said you could play any house but it would definitely NOT be worth buying if you could only play Gryffindor

HUFFLEPUFFS RULE

Guess you could play gryff and make sure they lose every game;)

I suspect that the nations you get to play is determined by where they expect to make the most sales

I've played it. It's OK - - a bit too easy for my taste. I'm up to QWC already (I just started last week) and I've only lost 2 matches out of 14 total.

The trick is to not let the other team score. ;)
