Being upset as I already am over the misinterpretation of Sirius that the filmmakers have made, I figured I should make a stand when it came time for Goblet of Fire.

Now's your chance Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is 734 pages long; 636 pages in the UK. Warner Bros. asked the screenwriter Steve Kloves to write a two and a half hour movie.

Seven hundred and thirty-four pages into two and a half hours. It's outrage! With everything that GoF includes, all the plot twists, devices, and the humor will be taken away. There are so many important events that will have to be taken out, like the death of Frank Bryce, Harry's encounter with Crouch, so many little things that are SO important to the story!

The petition-writers have given WB choices... one long film, like Titanic or Lord of the Rings, or two short films.

Sign the petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/hpgofv2/petition.html)....

and SAVE GOF! (http://www.savegof.com/)

Hmmm... I think it'd be better if they just made one looooong film, you know? Hard as it may be to believe, there are going to be people watching the film who haven't read the books. :D I think splitting the book in two would leave them with an abysmal lack of closure... Also, who would want to wait for the next one to come out?

Quite the opposite, I have heard rumors, that are really playing with the idea of making two films. So they DO stay loyal to the book. Filming does not begin until April...so maybe we should wait and see what happens.

Not that I'm against the idea of a petition mind you, i like making waves:p

I have to admit.. I'm too lazy to actually sign the petition. (They don't work, anyway ;). The director, producers, writers, etc, already know we want everything included. :D)

But I'm all for the preserving of the true events and spirit of GoF....

I signed it!!!!!! I agree. If the director makes the 4th book into 2 movies, where are they going to cut the first movie off?   I for one don't want to wait for the second part of the movie to come out.

then it would be too short. if they can only do a 2 hour movie (I dont understand why they cant do it like ROTK!!!..which I havent seen but it's over 3 hours long and they won oscars for it!) then how would they include some of the stuff between the task's and all the stuff about Voldemort?
