Perhaps the Windows trailer is better than the one I had to watch (QuickTime for Mac).
The clip I saw was also really poor quality.

Windows Media player was really good. Quicktime sucked! :(

Also, didn't it say BBC at the beginning and end of the trailer?

So does that mean BBC made the trailer or something?

maybe they put thier own version together or thats the one they were given to dispatch.

I think the trailer was on a TV show that was copied and then put on the web, so that hurts the quality, too.

02-28-2004, 08:39 PM
yeah i agree Athelas,it does hurt the queality! :p
I agree too Athelas:)
It does ruin the quality

Yeah, that was the first trailer released! :) *note, it messes up*
The one that was released the 26th,March is more accurate and VERY cool! :D

Yes, the NEW trailer (released the 26th) far outstrips any of the previously made trailers. I can't stop watching it.

Can somebody post a link to the new trailer? I tried the one in the 'new trailer' thread, but was directed to the WB site and told that the page doesn't exist... :(
I'm so computer illiterate... ;)

Who is the housekeeper at the end of the BBC trailer?
I thought the house elves did all that!
Athelas

My guess is that was housekeeping at The Leaky Cauldron. I think they are too run-down for a house-elf.:D

Does anyone else, replay the part where Hermione punches Malfoy in the nose?:D
I did.
Over and over and over and OVER.
Din, my sister, went bonkers and made me stop.

My 5-year-old watched with big round eyes! Even though we spend a lot of time saying "use your words" and "hands are not for hitting", we discussed it and decided Hermione is old enough and Draco is a big enough git that it was okay.
Inside, of course, I was rolling!:rotfl:

Now that I've seen the high-res trailer, I had a much better look at what the boggart turns into after it is Snape/grandmother--but I still don't know what they are!
One part looks like it could be the wolf Lupin turns into, but there seems to be 2 other faces--any ideas?

I think we all wish we were Hermione at that exact moment
Two faces???

Have just seen the latest PoA trailers, and I am so in love with Hermione's punching scene... "Foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" Ooh, she delivers that line with such venom. :D
And Harry's "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" is great... gives me chills.
Also, a couple questions:
- In a trailer I saw on TV last night, I don't know if I imagined it, but I think they showed quick shots of dementors (at least, I don't know what else they would have been) flying, and at one point, crawling after Ron. Wha??? Is this just a lot of artistic license from the director? I mean, I don't think it's bad... in fact, it makes them seem even creepier, but I was just surprised.
- Does anyone know if we're going to get any Quidditch in the film? I haven't seen any sign of it in any of the trailers. If we don't, it'll be a shame, since IMO the Quidditch matches in this book are the best ones, not to mention the post-match celebrations.

I've seen Harry falling off his broomstick during the match and seen him in the hospital in his Quidditch uni, so at least some should be in there.

Oh good.. I mean, I know there's a lot of stuff to cover, but it just wouldn't be complete without Quidditch.
Did you see this in a trailer, or in pictures? Could you point me to where?
Athelas

I saw the falling-off-the-broom in a commercial and the hospital pic on-line.
mugglenet.com has everything and they're pretty well labeled.

From the HPANA review:
Rumor:
Because Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood in Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets) did not return, there's no Quidditch scene/the Quidditch scene will be bad.
Reality:
There was Quidditch in this movie, and it was Quidditch like we've never seen it before. Harry spends most of the game up in the clouds. The storm is so fierce one of his teammates' brooms gets struck by lightning and catches fire, and on top of it all the dreaded Dementors show up. When we see Harry in the infirmary after the game, he isn't the only person there in Quidditch robes. The match is so fast-paced and brutal I was on the edge of my seat, despite the fact that I already knew exactly what was going to happen.
