I have had a complete change of heart about Gary Oldman......

OK, when I first learned that Gary would be playing my most beloved HP character of all time, I immediately went over to Blockbuster to get a Gary flick. Unfortunately, it was The Fifth Element. *shudder* Gary plays an evil dude with a Southern accent in that movie, and he has the most un-Sirius like hair cut that I could imagine.

So, after seeing it, I lived miserable for a couple of months (I didn't even want to see another Gary Oldman movie, I was so terrified), until my sister rented a movie called Interstate 60 last weekend. I saw Gary's name in the beginning, and so I was a bit wary about watching it, but I decided to anyway.

I now LOVE Gary Oldman. His performance in Interstate 60 proved a couple of things to me:

-Gary can play the more unconventional roles
-He can play roles in a lighthearted way
-He can play likeable characters

Now, I am still not sure about Gary playing our beloved Padfoot, but I do know that his character in Interstate 60 is one of my new favorite cinema personas. If you have a chance, watch Interstate 60. Since watching it, I have much more faith in Gary Oldman's acting ability.

Now if we could just shave off Lupin's stupid moustache...*twitch*

I saw Gary in Air Force One-he played he bad guy-the russian. I didnt know it was him til I looked at IMDB. He is a very good actor-I think he will be wonderful!

i love gary oldman...

i got hold of a copy of Leon for £4 yesterday. i've not watched it yet but i intend to get to the bit where he's in the corridor cracking his neck and just watch it over and over again.

i also went to the cinema that day. there was a PoA hologram-type-poster by the queueing area tingy. i spent ages bouncing from side to side and saying "gary oldman... no gary oldman... gary oldman... no gary oldman"

and then i wonder why people think i'm weird.
