What's everyone's favorite movie? Mine's the Lord of the Rings trilogy. How about you?

How can you not fall head-over-heels, passionately in love with The Lord of the Rings trilogy? I will never forget my experience watching The Return of The King *sobs to death* No movie will ever beat the brilliance that surrounds The Return of the King. All you Return Of The King wannabes can go stuff your hate toward Peter Jackson in a large toilet, I don't want to hear about how your film "is not about special effects, it is about true emotion" *rolls eyes*

i can never make up my mind on this but its usually somewhere between "Leon" "Snatch" and "The Crow" with maybe a little "Nightmare Before Christmas" thrown in for good measure.

i also have a thing for Labyrinthe. purely due to the excessive shots of david bowie's crotch.

mmm David Bowie...

Has to be Moulin Rouge, Amelie or Some Like It Hot. Nothing beats the unadulterated glamour of Moulin Rouge and Some Like It Hot, and the beauty of Amelie :)

I liked the Nightmare Before Christmas a lot when I was littler. The Crow was OK for me. A little too violent for my taste.

Except perhaps the unequalled beauty of Hero, the recent Chinese flick. That movie is gorgeous beyond all belief.:D

Favorite movie... I can't think of a single favorite. Currently a tossup between POTC and P&P (BBC version). I think Star Wars is still in there too, but I'm pretty livid about the changes Lucas has made recently...

movies i like tend to involve lots of people dying in various gruesome ways. i'm also a massive robocop fan, and fell completely in love with everything Akira Kuwisara ever made... who's have thought macbeth adapted to 16th century japan with samurais would ever work? but it did.

Are you talking about Ran? It was based on King Lear.;) I actually own that movie (picked it up for $4! I don't think the guys in the shop knew what it was...), so I could practice my Japanese. It's alright as a movie, but I was a little disappointed because I was told about it in glowing terms it didn't quite live up to. but still pretty good. :)

I just saw Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2 a couple of weeks ago and they now rank very high among my favourites. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is another great favourite of mine.

My dad would not allow me to see Kill Bill vol.1 because he said it was much too violent for me but he allowed me to see Kill Bill vol.2. It was very very cool! Quentin Tarentino (not sure how to spell his name) is a very cool director. I watched Pulp Fiction which I thought was pretty cool too.

he didnt let you watch number one but let you watch number two? thats... weird. how old are you?

as far as voilent movies go i think the unedited version of Fight Club is about the most disturbing thing i've ever seen. you know the scene where Ed Norton is really laying into that guy and when he gets up he hardly has a face cause its all bloody and cut and pulpy?

the unedited one doesnt cut away when he's punching him. and it stays there for about five minutes. so its five whole minutes of fists and this shot of the guy's face thats getting seriously mutilated, and as it doesnt visibly cut away for even a second, you cant tell that its not real. nearly made me vomit.

also there's that scene in shaun of the dead where dylan moran gets kind of... turned inside out and eaten. but that was a joke movie so it doesnt count. oh and the whole torture scene in passion of the christ.

pulp fiction is an awesome film. has anyone ever played the pulp fiction drinking game? where you take a sip of your alcoholic drink everytime someone says the f-word or any variation of it. lethal.

Well, I'm only 12 so that's why I couldn't see #1. The Pulp Fiction drinking game sounds funny. There are a lot of f-words in that movie.

I saw Finding Neverland yesterday with Luthien and her family. Very brilliant and sad movie. I enjoyed it immensely.

I want to see Finding Neverland. But it will probably be in a few weeks.

Saw National Treasure over the weekend; it was great to make fun of- I mean it was great fun! Very stupid plot that tries hard to be smart. It's what happens when events follow logically but not rationally.;)

The Incredibles was good too; not too big a superhero fan but it was funny none the less.

I saw National Treasure with Fran's family on Friday night. It is making Fran question her founding fathers.

Collateral. It blew me away when I first saw it, and blew me away the second time I saw it. Hopefully, come Christmas, I'll own it and be blown away by it each and every day. :D
