Amazon UK has apologized to customers who pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince after it sent an e-mail saying it would not be available and to look for it elsewhere.

The same mistake occurred in December with Amazon.com in the U.S. The company said it sent "howlers to the muggles responsible" and were investigating a link to Lord Voldemort.

Half-Blood Prince, the sixth book out of seven in JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, will be released July 16 in the U.S. and UK, among other English-speaking countries.

Heh, I know, an oldie but a goodie right? ;) I thought I'd mention in the context of another article from the fabulous HPANA (http://www.hpana.com/news.18496.html), which tells us that Amazon UK have received over 100,000 pre-orders for the Half Blood Prince! I think that's a a pretty good effort thus far, if you want to take a closer look at the article just click on the HPANA link in this post! :)
