Hehe, yeah, I heard about this, I hope it'll be a good movie! I really liked the books, I hope it transfers across onto the big screen okay in this incarnation. I'm sure Stephen Fry will do a good job and the trailer actually looks pretty decent, so fingers crossed: doesn't look like there's too much cause for panic at this stage! ;)

I'm definitely excited. I think I'd heard at one point that they were doing a movie, but I forgot about it -- until I saw the teaser trailer. When the words "Don't Panic!" appeared on the screen I started squealing and pointing.

Odds are it'll either be really good, or... really not good. Either way, sounds like it ought to make a fun outing for our gaming group. :)

Turned out to be a pretty good movie.:) I liked Zaphod's character- it always bothered me in the books, because I couldn't get a good image of him (or Trillian, really) in my head. I also liked the mice...

LOL... that's ages ago now.... I think what I liked best was their joice for Arthur Dent - perfect, I thought. But the cast was generally amazing, and i remember a number of scenes I enjoyed. But I remember that I thought the film never came together as a whole story. I guess one shouldn;t be surprised about that, seeing how the book works. :D

The visuals were particularly amazing: I had never been able to imagine the planet factory, for example. :) Marvellous.
