Hey everyone -
As some of you may know, I work at a movie theater. My managers are allowing me to be in charge of the Goblet of Fire promotion when it comes out this November. I'm talking decorations, pre-movie activities, the whole shebang. What I need are your ideas.
I have a few up my sleeve already. I have a two-by-three foot Hogwarts banner that I'm going to hang up; I'm going to dress as Hermione for the opening weekend (and see how many of my fellow employees I can get to go as wizards and witches, too); and I think I'm going to stop by Barnes & Noble to see if they have any leftover HP glasses, that I can give out to employees/patrons.
Some things my theater did when PoA came out was to make little Snitches out of ping pong balls and hang them from the ceiling as decorations, and I might do the same. Last time, they also did trivia questions before the midnight shows, with free tickets as the prize.
So I have plenty of ideas, but I want to know what everyone else thinks. What would YOU like to see a movie theater do to prepare for this movie? I think this is a wonderful opportunity to provide for the many Harry Potter fans in my community, and I want to do as much as I can to get surprised gasps and "Wow! Someone here really knows their Potter!"
Thanks everyone (sorry this is so long),
PT
